Won Bee Ga, Ba! – Community Beach Clean-ups in Accra

Every helping hand makes a difference! We welcome everyone who would like to join our regular beach clean-ups in Accra and help tackle the growing problem of pollution along our coastline.

Our main activity is collecting plastic and other waste from the beach. No previous experience is needed. Gloves, rubbish bags and the necessary equipment are provided on site.

When and Where?

Every Sunday – Ananse Beach, Jamestown

Time: 8 am – 12 noon

Ananse Beach is located at the first bay of Accra Central, by the rocks behind Jamestown's traditional fishing harbour, right where the old town of Jamestown meets central Accra.

Unser Treffpunkt befindet sich am heutigen Rising Phoenix Beach Resort, nahe der High Street. Direkt daneben steht unser Container, der als Anlaufstelle für unsere gemeinsamen Strandaufräumaktionen dient.

Every first Saturday of the month – Osu Klottey, Osu

Time: 8 am – 12 noon

Along the coast of Osu, around the Osu Klottey Lagoon, the traditional coastal rocks and the nearby Christiansborg Castle (Osu Castle), we work together to protect the environment and keep our coastline clean.

Our meeting point is where the Osu Klottey Lagoon meets the sea. From here, we begin our community clean-ups along the coastline and around the lagoon.

Whether you live in Accra, are visiting the city or simply want to lend a hand for a day, you are warmly invited to join us!
